Bought my first XJ-S
Hi All,
Well I went to Melbourne on Friday and picked up my XJ-S. Pretty much a 20 hour round trip in a slow old diesel Nissan towing a trailer both ways.

Good points:
Body is in superb condition. Paint is excellent. Has velour seats (not leather). Most of the car seems to be as the factory intended. Dash has no cracks. Most suspension bushes are new. Head gaskets are also new. It is a red one.
Bad points:
Car is missing the grille, air cleaner boxes and a panel underneath the front bumper (Car was sold to me as complete so I have asked the seller about their location). Seat velour is a bit worn. headlight retaining clips are broken. Most pipes/wires on the engine are not connected (many questions may be asked about this). Walnut on console and dash is pretty stuffed.
So all in all I think that I got myself a bargain.
Regards, Jim...
