Jag v12 ign amp
Hi, all My V12 decided to stop firing. Was told to have the external amp module checked. Sent unit to "expert" here in South Africa. "Expert" duly misplaced/lost my amp. And of course there is nothing/no-one here to help me. Q: are there 2nd hand units available in UK and cost?.
V12 is 1981 model (acc. to VIN no. ) The module (internally) only a cap, some ic? (number GM 1178813) and something that looks like a resitor?
It looks very plain and simple indeed. However without the proper specs, there is of course a problem. Book says that all parts can be simply replaced. If anyone knows which parts to get, its connecting arrangement and output wiring, to the distr. coil etc, perhaps I can do something.,.. Thank you Jean

The module is AC Delco D1906
I think the cap can be a garden variety generic....not sure.
However, I've yet to find anyone who knows the value/spec for the zener diode.
Even if you got the individual parts you'd still need the casing to properly house everything.
Cheers
