I wonder if the heads could be salvaged with new cam blocks, and valve seats?

Then I took it to the sandblaster/powder coating. Had custom legs and glass supports made. Bought a 24"x40" 3/8" thick glass. Glued the glass on the supports. Added LEDs.

Ruski - Hell Yeah! Gippsland, I was just about to suggest buying another scrapper, mounting it vertically, and using it for Japanese Whisky storage (OK wine will suffice).

Nice work mang.

I might get another one and do the wine holder. I still have the heads and the crank shaft from that engine so Im thinking of doing something with them as well.

I have no idea how much I can sell it for. I put a "Make Offer" ad on one of the forums so far all i got was $75 +shipping...but thats on a miata forum so I'm not surprised.

Yea the block was in very bad shape. very dirty and oxidized so I decided powdercoating it an aluminum color will be best. It will look better and wont oxidize and easer to clean. I paid $110 for both. It wasnt the best of job but it wasnt bad. So Im happy with it.

V12 head removal tool
So how did you get those heads off? I'm in a similar position and making a coffee table.

Anyone care to rent the tool? I'm in Cleveland Ohio

That coffee table is an amazing piece of art. Definately probably sell it for a nice profit!

Note to self: if anyone ever tells me that "it was running before it was put in storage 3 years sgo", take the cam covers off to check it out!

Absolutely intriguing!!! Especialy, the lighting, fantastic.

The crankshaft might be just right as a post to support a roadside mail box.

Or, in the shop as a pedestal for a grinder. The fly wheel or flex plate would be a perfect base. ..
