Help. I replaced the fuel sender and now cannot remember the order in which the three leads are connected. (That is what I get for not following the manual's instruction to carefully record how the wires were connected).


The sender is round, and has three connections arranged vertically. There is a brown wore, a black wire, and a light green/with tracer wire. Which one goes where?

PS I stopped by the dealer today, and the best diagram he has shows that the three color-coded wires are connected--but not which one goes where.

 

I believe that this photo is correct. I will double-check it when I get out to the shop tonight.

this is mine. just looks different as for the connections... One should be the same as yours.... this is on an 89 xjs coupe,,,, a parts car. will be taking the tank out soon. It was previously cleaned and relined by the guy who was in the process of restoration.

Confirmed. The colors are correct as shown. This is a convertible.
