I need a new battery and have absolutely no idea what kind to get.

Any suggestions/recommendations?

Thank you so much in advance!

Yeah, Interstates are good.

If you're thinking you need something unusual or exotic, you don't. Any battery shop can fix you up. You'll need something with a vent tube attachment...but that's nothing new for anyone who sells batteries.

What ever battery you get, get a Battery Tender and plug the Jag in when ever you have it parked. There are computers and radios that have a constant drain on the battery even when the key is off. Get the 1.25 amp unit not the .750 amp.

It's just a nipple (or unique cap) where the vent hose can be attached. Common in cars with batteries in the trunk, under the seat, etc.

And make very sure that the vent hose is placed through the floor of the trunk so that the acid fumes are vented and do not just go into the trunk and eat holes in the floor.

Sulfuric acid will eat things up real fast.
