1995 XJS facelift rear bumper attachement question.
Can somebody take a picture of the attachments (clips bolts screws?) that hold the bottom of the rear bumper cover to the metal brace under the trunk? where the cover wraps under the car.
There are no clips, screws etc. The edge of the bumper cover is tucked into a channel/strip that is riveted to the underside of the car. Crawl under the car, take a look and you'll see what I mean.
The bumper slots into 4 or 5 spring Z-clips which are attached to the riveted strip.
The easiest way to solve the problem is to drill and screw 3 self-tappers, one each at the ends and just off-centre at the middle (there's a cut-out at dead centre from memory).
Good luck
Paul

Dear Paul,
yesterday I lost the spring Z clips.
Where can I find them? Jaguar dealer says they are not in the catalog.
I would make small holes and fix it with a rivet or self-tapping screw, what do you think about it?
Thanks!
Pietro

Mine all fell out too. Look at the photo of the long metal strip in the post above... there are some holes in it. I ended up drilling small holes the cover itself to match and zip tying it to those holes. Been like that for over 50000 miles with no ill effect. It’s so far under the car nobody will notice.
