5.3 dished pistons?!
Im trying too find dished pistons stock bore rated at 1000hp ford v6 3.0 pistons fit but theyre not dished and the pins are .828 any recommendations
Thanks for the offer cal but I want too go new. I dont know what rod length to use either id like too push it .010 over to be safe its got 100kmiles on her. So 92.mm bore? /93 . what rod length do i use?!
6in rod, its the stock length. if it were me id just go custom pistons, you'll spend a ton of time messing with **** and then trying make it work and at the end of the day you'll have spent all of which you tried to save. trust me I had this debate with myself.
Thanks! The rod length has plagued me for awhile. if I have too go custom i will . but i might use the ford pistons as my base idea or building block dish the 50cc? Drop the comp too 8:9:1 . the pin on them are .9018 not too far off a 927 pin
No im planning on stock bore stock stroke just new rods and pistons . have the crank turned too 2.100 by the way what is the deck height on these?!?

221mm or 8.7in I am told. check that you can get the crank ground that much without cutting into the balancing hole. and use a for 4.6 rod. because otherwise you'll have to narrow a set of gm rods. I had to do this
ahh okay thanks ! ford 4.6? Ill right that down lol right now money is tight it wont be till mid july that ill start the build because I need too do a run down of brakes suspension wiring fuel system etc. im using a supercharger off a catipiller loader .
my friend did a chevelle with twin Cummins turbos, then.work really well. I don't really like the idea of turbos undee that hood. it's just too tight on space and too much heat.
I have been debating taking an aj6 with a big turbo and making essential.a british 2jz. ideas for the next car

Cal what about Twin charged turbo blowing into PDSC. Use an XJR SC I6 and add a turbo.
calvin thats why we modify the hood and front bumper for better air flow! a set of luvers on the hood as well as air scoups infront of the drivers door. if your going too go as far as building it you might as well go all the way. (If your going too do something do it right or not at all)
Post a picture of that Caterpillar supercharger - I bet it's a beast!
What bore size did you end up with?
