Default 83 XJS No start

i got this car running after it has been sitting for about 6 years. Distributor was frozen, plugs, wires, timing new fuel. had it running and found the valve cover gaskets were leaking very badly. I removed the manifold and replaced the gaskets. No all back together and it wont start. I have gone over every electrical connection and vacuum hose. I have spark but no injector pulse. With a noid light set it will flash once it start to crank but that is it. Not sure were to go from here. Any ideas?

This is pretty weird.

The injectors get 12v on the pink/black wires via the "main" relay and operate when they are grounded by the ECU. Since the noid light flashes once it sounds like the circuits are fundamentally operational but there's a triggering problem

Is the wiring from the ignition amp, particulatly the shielded wire, OK? The engine speed "trigger" to the ECU comes from the amp.

With the key "on" does opening the throttle flash the noid light?

How's the connection at the coolant temp sensor? (I've heard but never confirmed that an open circuit here will disable the injectors)

Cheers
DD
