Default '89 XJS Conv-Renovation started

I began removing items yesterday for the paint & body work. I figured out how to remove most exterior items so far (a few broken studs to address later) except the front fender marker lights. Once the one screw was removed it still wouldn't budge.
Also, when removing the horiz strip that houses the back up lights and license plate lights from the trunk (boot) I am unsure how to completely remove it because of the wires. It does not seem the hole (w/grommet) is large enough for the butt connector to pass thru. I can see where the connectors for the license plate lights can pass thru but and the wires for the back up lights seem soldered on.
Help!!
Also, any sources for the black bumper covers and side pieces below the wings?
As before, all tips appreciated. Thanks

Default What a Bust

I took the car to a body guy an hour and a half away after meeting him at my home and he looked over the car. We agreed on a fair price and I took it to his shop to begin the work. 10 days later he called and said come and pick it up...he was not going to work on the car!!
So, I had to go pick it up and I'm at square one. I've lost a month.
Now, I have to find a reasonable body guy in this area, Wash DC, who is reasonable and can work w/rusted areas around the rear wheelwells.
Any referrals? Thank, Marc
