Default 92 XJS w/5.3 with ff17 code

I have a 92 XJS with a 5.3 V-12 and have a ff17 code for a throttle pot being out of range. I found a used one and when I went to calibrate it seems to be operating opposite of how it should. It has no resistance at idle and more at wot. this translates to 4.9 volts at idle and .8 at wot. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is. I understand it should be .32 volts at idle and approx. 4.8 at wot.

Interesting. I don't have a snappy answer. It's 4:03 AM and I'm on my first cuppa coffee

Just to back up to square one, what color wires are you probing?

I suggest posting in the XJS section.

Cheers

Welcome to the forum Bigmoose,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to XJS forum. This is the place to post technical questions about your model.

When you get a minute, please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see.
