Wink '94 4.0L Ignition amps

I am on a quest to find out why the 10A fuse (F7) going from the ECU to the ignition amp/distributor circuit is blowing.

I tried the old ebay route of acquiring another ignition amp (DAC-10923) for less than $150.00 and I acquired everything but a module suited for the XJS.
I had one that was interesting in that it was made by GM for Jaguar!
It looks like I will go the $250+ route for a new unit now.

I've looked at some alternative ignition systems and I haven't seen enough advantages to pay the extra cost involved in making the switch.

I have replaced the ignition coil, dist. cap, rotor, ign. wires but not the noise suppressor capacitor. For some reason that doesn't have a part number in the
XJS parts lists. I'm going to go with a capacitor used on a Ford V6 engine maybe.
Capacitor/condensor? I am an electronics tech and I use the term capacitor. To me a condensor is something used in cooling and heating circuits.

Oh, I did an experiment where I wired a ground wire from the engine block to the Radiator bracket where the Ignition amp sits and it got really hot when
the starter is engaged. I thinking there is a grounding problem between the engine block and the radiator support bracket. There should be some sort of ground wire connection from the radiator bracket to the car chassis grround.
I can't see just a mechanical connection from the radiator bracket to the car chassis as a grounding mechanism. Or are Jags that groundless?
