With worn guides, you may see the blue smoke only when cold starting the engine, because a substantial amount of hot thinned oil may have dripped down in the chambers the last time you stopped the engine.
This may not be any more visible when you drive as then only a tiny fraction of oil is mixed with gas during engine operation.
