Thought that I had already posted this but when I searched for it to edit it I couldn't find it so apologies if it is a repeat post.
So, anyway.
Sat overlooking the pub car park admiring our motors (like you do) and discussed prices when new; couldn't find the XJRS price new online but the Merc was $76,000 (West Coast).

Pretty sure the Mercedes would have been more expensive. Jaguars have always been the value proposition (relatively speaking).
