About half my dash bulbs are either out, or they're as dim as the village idiot. I'd love to swap the factory bulbs out for newer/brighter bulbs (maybe LED?) but I don't want to get into something I can't finish.

What year is your XJS? I've done it on my 87. Fiddly job, but not hard. You have to be careful of the printed wiring harness on the back of the cluster (pre-facelift), and have to get the correct polarity on the bulbs as you insert them; not always obvious. My lights are now very bright.
BTW, I see you are from Prattville. I'm in Madison, AL. Maybe get together sometime.

Hi Jess

Be extremely Careful, while you are doing this, as if you disturb the Printed Circuit or anything at all, you may find that the Speedo, no longer works and that could cost you 'Shedloads' of Cash to put right.

I need to change profile, I guess. We moved to south Alabama. But oddly enough, I was just in Madison last week for AUSBCA State Bowling Tournament. Not in one of the Jags, though.

My XJS is the one in my sig, an 89. If I'm feeling brave this weekend I may have a go at this. Right after I replace an A/C amplifier in the XJ6, lol. It never ends.
