Hello everybody,
it seems that I'm not able to find the answer to a question that appears to be very simple: which are the characteristics of the original floor mats of my 1996 XJS 4.0 2+2 Convertible (Celebration, LHD).
I think I've checked almost every thread and commercial offer of 3rd party floor mats, but it's confusing because there are so many different shapes all claiming that they will "fit" this model. Finally, I've ordered a set from a well reputated company near by, but when they arrived, I had to notice that the form of the mats was totally different - they don't fit. I talked to the company, and they would make a set of new mats if I give them a template.
Unfortunately, I was not able to find a template on the web, and Jaguar Germany told me that the do not have images or measures of the original mats. So what I would like to do is to create a template as a PDF file and make it available not only to the company I've mentioned, but to everybody.
My questions:

• Does the original set for the above mentioned model consist of 2 mats or of 4 mats? In my car there are 4 mats, and the official spare part list says:
  • Front left: GHE9463BBCJC
  • Front right: GHE9462BBCJC
  • Rear left: GHF9483DACJC
  • Rear right: GHE9482CACJC
• Can anybody help me out with a template or a picture/drawing/photo with the dimensions of the orginal mats so that I can convert this into a vector file? Of course, paper templates are also welcome, as well as a set of old original mats if somebody still have them.
• As far as I've learned, the original mats had a rubber inlay with "JAGUAR" stamped on it - correct?
