All,

Cleaning the engine compartment today, I noticed a component that is squeezed between the inner fender and the shield that holds a pair of fuse blocks and relays on the left side of the engine bay (LHD '91 XJS). I've attached a couple of pictures.

Can anyone tell me what this component is? It looks like the shield has cut it, and I'm just concerned about what that is impacting....

Relay moved out of the way; note the fuse block above and mount points for the relays.

 

It' a capacitor for the headlight relay

Yeah I was gonna say it has the brand for Hella on it so it has to do with the lights
