"Amplifier" is the control unit used on the Delanair Mk II systems. It's behind the left cheek panel and is about the size of a pack of Camels.
"Climate Control ECU" is the control unit on the Delaniar Mk III systems. It's behind the the right side cheek panel and has the shape of a grand piano, roughly.
Cheers

Doug,
which is more likely to have failed, amplifier or ECU? Still screwing with this 91 coupe. Have tested EVERYTHING: blend doors, blend door motors, vacuum solenoids, vent motors (vacuum), fan motors, fan rheostat, thermostat potentiometer and new heater valve. Only things left (as far as i know) are amplifier or ECU. As I stated before in a post A/C is not my forte and my knowledge of the Delanair system is FAR greater than i ever wanted it to be at this point, but I have sure learned a LOT with your help and others.

Right.
If so, then everything being checked, more than likely is the ECU then, yes?
Yes, I'd say so.
Did you clean all those tiny pin connectors? And the ground points?
Cheers

Doug,
May have been the connector (5 pin) from the back of the thermostat potentiometer. Unplugged it, found green corrosion (condensation I suspect), tried to clean it with some success and now unit works sporadically, maybe not the ECU afterall, so I will probably now pull everything back apart, clean up all contacts in harnesses, plugs etc and see if i "stumble" on where the poor connections are.
