Hi all,
Although I read some of the posts about which direction the dryer bottle is installed for a 1994 XJS (4.0), I'm still kind of confused. I think that where the bottle is labeled "TOP" is connected to the line that goes directly to the compressor, while the other unlabeled end is connected directly to the other end of the condenser. Correct?

 

Ugh; I followed the wrong line back from the "TOP" connection on the dryer. As indicated on every other diagram ever shown, that line goes to the expansion valve. Hopefully, the configuration that I'm using is correct (TOP going to the expansion valve).
