Does anyone know of who might offer or make a dual filter system for the XJS? I used to have a 1977 MGB many years ago, and I thought I had remembered seeing a set up where the bracket mounted to the fire wall, two sets of lines going to and from where the oil filter would attach to the engine with another fitting, then up at the fire wall you could install 2 oil filters side by side. Thought it was through Moss Motors, but they only seem to offer parts for MG, Triumph and Cooper cars...

Figured with an engine with 3x as many cylinders and almost 3x as much displacement, throwing another filter on couldn't hurt?

However, dual oil filters are for volume as opposed to degree of filtration. Another consideration is the volume of oil that can flow through the selected hose. With regular oil changes, a dual filter does not contribute much.

But, bypass oil filtration does help. It is a similar setup, but uses a much finer filter to filter much smaller particles from part of the oil flow at any given time. Over time, all of the oil eventually passes through the finer filter resulting in cleaner oil. see many discussions by searching on Oil Bypass Filtration.
