Anyone have any tips regarding replacing EGR valve on a 1996 Jag XJS 4.0L
One of the bolts appears to be directly under the fuel rail.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

I don't recall having to remove the rail to replace the EGR, which I have done.

Is it simply the plastic cover that's blocking it?

where are you located…..I’m in Venice……I would be willing to help if you are close by.


THE PROCESS IS SIMPLE

1. Remove fuel rail cover……starbit fitting…..by a cheap set at Harbor Freight. Unplug connector
2. The actual bolts holding the EGR down is 10mm size socket?…Again cheap set at Harbor Freight
3. I used a 1/4” drive with extension and 10mm socket
