Default The 'Ever wondered how...' thread

Hey guys,

a fun thread idea: Have you ever wondered how...

...something works?
...looks inside?
...can be upgraded?
...can fail?
...parts look new?
...?

The idea is, to show things (video or pictures) of how things are.

I'll start with a video of how the park mechanism works on the TH400 3 speed automatic.

I've wondered if its possible to splice in a pressure-function dial to the vac line of the transmission shift module to adjust shift point or hardness on the fly.

if you have a dial who's functions either restrict or increase vacume and the module IS vac operated shouldn't that override and determine the final result?

The ECU also depends on a vac signal as well.

You can get electrical modulators for the TH400. So it is doable but then on an electrical level. So with a switch...
