SOLD . . . to bright young buck whose eyes sparkled just like I remember when I got my first Jaguar in 1969. Yes, that's it in my avatar. The many that have followed only made that sparkle grow brighter,
However, this is about my beloved but never restored 1980 pre-HE XJ-S. The young bloke paid the modest asking price as he is 60 years younger than me, and I have far too many uncompleted projects. I liked that look in his eyes . . . and even more, the diligent way he has worked away at renewing fluids, drained and flushed tank, new fuel pump and filter, new battery and plugs etc. He was great on accepting advice and tips, so it is great to see this beast go to such a dedicated young gun.
Some ether to help and the big V12 roared into life. ROAR takes on a new meaning when it has the mid section of exhausts removed ready to replace with new floor pans that I got years ago. Inside my shed, the noise was something else. Anyhoo, it drove up onto the car trailer without drama and now lives in its new home.
Best wishes Kevin . . .
Cheers and best wishes to all true believers in the mighty V12 Jaguars!
I think I need to lie down to recover . . .
