Headlight replacement
One of my high beams went out so I decided to make an upgrade. I did some reading on halogens and one of the recommendations was JC Whitney. I haven't ordered from them in about 20 years as I always thought they are kinda the Harbor Freight of auto parts. Well I took the plunge and ordered a pair. They claimed 1-3 days shipping and the price seemed ok. 2 weeks later I called them to find out where the lights were. Turns out I was calling Taiwan or somewhere because I could hardly understand her. She informed me that the reason I had not received them yet was because they were being custom built for my car. (Sure they were!) She said I should be receiving them by the following Thursday. I called the very next day to see if I would get a different answer. This time the lady might have been from Jamaica and she assured me "you should not be worrying" and that I would for sure receive them no later than the following Thursday. The following Thursday came and went with no lights. I again called the service line and got another rep that only marginally spoke English. I informed her that I had difficulty with my hearing and I couldn't understand people with accents and could she please transfer me to someone with little to no accent. After 5 minutes of asking this she put me on hold for another 5 minutes. She then got back on the phone and told me she was now speaking without an accent. I had to then inform her this was not the case and once again pleaded with her to find someone else. Another 5 minutes later and I was able to talk with someone with very little accent and he agreed to refund my money. Long story short (a little late I know) I ordered a set of 4 off ebay and got them in a few days. They look great but the light quality isn't what I wanted so after I become employed again I will be searching for another set and I'll sell off these at a loss.
