Okay, so we have this garage in Frankford, WV. We do repairs on domestic and foreign makes. We go and make the mistake of fixing one little teensy weensy classic bmw, and now we've got foreign auto owners from all over coming to us for the 'hard-to-find' parts.
So, here's my most recent dilemma. A 1990 Jaguar XJS. It needs a hood (bonnet) release lever and cable, and a gas cap. I can't find these things ANYWHERE!? Can you guys help hook me up here? Where can I find these two/three parts?

It seems like I saw a set of cables for sale on Ebay recently. Before I saw these I had the same problem and I fixed mine with standard braided cable and stops that I got at Auto Zone. I believe they were designed for a hood release repair on domestic cars. It took a little more work but it is working fine now.
Coupe or convertible, makes a big difference with the gas cap. There's aVIN split on the bonnet release handle, I can tell you if I have the correct one if I know which one I'm looking for.
