Default HEY Doug?

question for 78 xjs will the directional and wiper switches fit from an XJ sedan, and what years might fit.

looking at the old ones it seems as tho left hand drive and RHD are same swtich, but wire treminals have to be changed over to oppisite side of switch.

when removing wire terminals is a special tool requeired.

mine is RHD, got any ideas?

mine have GREEN corrosion in them.

Shoot, I dunno....I

Somewhere I have a Lucas interchange manual but I'm not sure if I can put my hands on it. My gut feeling is that the same switch is used on sedans and XJSs but I can't say for sure

Sorry,
DD

Doug is right, they will interchange, as long as the donor car has the directional/wiper sections on the same side as the receiving car.

Some S2 have the directionals on the RH side of the colomn (RHD), and S3 have in on the LH side, what we call down here the European invasion??.

I would be looking for S3 as the donor.

Electrically they should all be the same, and NO special tools to seperate the rubberised plugs, just patience and time, they are a pain.
