I have been looking at a 1979 xjs! it's black with chrome over the wheel wells. The interior is in excellent condition, the headliner is mint!!! It has 67K Miles on it and has absolutely no rust

I just want to know if there are specific questions I should be asking beyond the usual ones when buying a used car...

Looks pretty sharp !

Questions:

Has it ever been overheated?
Does the climate control work properly in all modes?
Any rust UNDER the add-on fender trim?
Have the rear calipers and/or rotors been replaced?
Have the fuel hoses been replaced?
Will the wipers park in the proper position?
Does the trunk area smell like fuel?
Any water leaking into the footwells?

That's all I can think of for now

so far no rust at all, no overheating, I'm not sure about the wipers, it may sound silly but are they supposed to sit flush with the trunk? it looks like the passenger wiper arm is too long for that....
