Hood Ornaments

Hey guys, did the XJS actually come with a hood ornament or just the medallion?

Medallion only. If you have a "leaper" it was an add-on after the fact.

it came with either a black (aged pewter look) Gold, or silver growler badge.

All the leaper you see are put on afterwords.
you are supposed to remove the badge and replace it with the leaper but most people don't for whatever reason.

the XJS's hood does not lend itself to the leaper IMO. the growler looks better on them.
