Hi, guys.

My factory-trained mechanic has retired, and I recently had some service work done elsewhere. The hood release cable chose this time to fray at the release lever under the dash.

I have a new one [less than $10! Thanks, Welsh guys!]. It's only about a foot long, and must be threaded from the left-side release through the firewall to the footwell.

Any advice on how to do this? There's a knob swaged on the end to pull the release, and a set screw on the lever arm, so it only fits one way.
