Inexpensive rear mufflers
This might be of some interest
I'm *almost* positive that the XJS....at least pre-facelift cars....use the same size rear mufflers as the Ser III XJ6/12 sedans.

I’m not sure how to post a little Vid on the forum, in MP4 format.
I changed my rear silencers for small little HotDogs (resonators) and chrome tips, cost me $150 a side but makes a nice note out the rear. If I could find out how to post it I can share it with you.
I personally wouldn’t put in a H pipe, I like hearing each bank on its own, can show faults.
