Injector?

Injector?
Evening all, my 4.0 1991 coupe has a ticking noise coming from the cam area. The car is relatively low mileage but has been hardly used for a long time. I put a screwdriver to the cam cover but couldn't hear anything wrong. However when I did the same along the injectors the third one in was ticking like mad. Is this the typical noise a dodgy injector makes or has anyone any suggestions? Many thanks for any help lads

OK, my flame suit is ON, and the opinions are MINE.
I have never replaced an injector is any Jag, and I have a few since 1968.
I use a bottle of injector cleaner, whatever is on special whenever I think about it, on a regular basis. By that I mean 4 times a year, BUT, my Jags are daily drivers, so do lots of kms, AND, we dont have Ethanol fule readily available.
My X300, AJ16, had tickies when we picked ut up, some 1400kms away, but by the time we got home , SILENT, and I used 3 bottles of cleaner for the trip home, and DROVE it as a Jag should be driven.
Soooooo, pour some cleaner in it, with 1/2 tank of clean fuel, and DRIVE THE PANTS OFF IT, and then listen again. At worst, you have wasted $20, and have a serious smile on your dial.
