Is there a thread that covers the install of the Jaguar Service and Parts DVD
JHM1143 V1.1 XJS 1991-1996) using Win7 and a patch to make it use
any cd/dvd drive other than drive D:\ ?
I've read some of the posts for JDHT stuff and they don't seem relevant
for this version of this DVD.

 

Don't know if it's any help but you can reassign the drive letters in Windows so you end up with your CD drive being drive d: if that's what the dvd expects

The current system I've tried installing the JHM1143 on is used to edit video
and such.
Due that use, I have a lot of external USB attached devices that are assigned drive
letters.
It requires a LOT of changes to other installed applications if I change any
disk drive device assignments. I have 3 internal DVD drives and a couple of tape
devices that also bring other challenges.
Now that I've said that, it occurs to me why am I installing it on that system?
Another Homer Simpson, "DOH", moment. . .
I think I will just install it on a 15 year old IBM laptop that I've used for my boat repair projects. It runs Window 98, has a 500MB hd, 256MB of memory, usb 1.1 port and a rs-232 serial port.
Perfect as a portable repair station!
Again, "DOH" !
