Default ISO: Mechanic near Washington, DC

Hello,

Can anyone please recommend a DC-area mechanic who works on classic Jaguars (XJS, specifically)? Thank you!

You are in luck! There are two places to go, and a third!

Masters Auto Shop in Rockville is my go to.

There is also Top Line Jaguar in Springfield, VA.

Both of these shops work strictly on Jaguars. I have had sensational results with Masters.

London Auto Services in Merrifield is also an option. While they aren’t exclusive to Jaguars, they do know there way around classic British cars. I have benefitted from their expertise as well. I would use them more, but Masters just seems to find the solution every time, so why chance it?

I echo Vee exactly, except I haven't used Masters Auto Shop. London Auto Services is fine for simpler stuff. Top Line Jaguar is great and can do practically anything but is a bit pricey.

Been to Top Line as well.

I would also point out that Masters is relatively near a metro stop.

In all cases, be prepared to wait. These guys are all backed up regularly. I assume it takes a week for them to get to your car once dropped off.

Master Auto brought my 94 XJ12 back to life after a Marelli fire. Great shop. Owner has been in the game since the early 80s.
