Does someone help me to read the correct number of my January1988 3.6 engine? (see photos)
I'm not sure if it is:
9 D P(?) A M A 1 2 6 1 2 2(?)
or
9 D R(?) A M A 1 2 6 1 2 2(?)
and if it corresponds to the range of numbers applied in that period on this kind of engine?

I think I see an R.

 

It's a "P" 3.6 engines are 9DP where "P" = petrol. The last character is a number (I can't see clearly what number).
