Key Fob
My 1996 XJS has a single button key fob that remotely locks and unlocks the car. The button on the fob is broken at the hinge. The remote works fine if you open it up and push on the internal switch.
Does anyone know where I can get just the button or do I need to get the entire fob?
Also, I only have one key. I read where I can interpret the code so I can get one cut. It doesn't look like there is a microprocessor to deal with or is there?
Thanks

Re: Remote....what I have done is buy three brand new OEM 433 MHz remotes from the UK and insert my boards into them. The UK remotes have exactly the same case and they are available for about 30 dollars brand new. Just transplant the mini board into it.
Re. keys.…no microchip. Just need to go to a dealer to get them cut along with proof of ownership
