My hydraulic pump that operates my convertible top is leaking fluid. I replaced the u-cup seal and it still leaks. I may have installed it wrong. There is a washer and the seal. I installed the seal first then the washer. It may be in wrong order. Has anyone replaced this seal or have a diagram of the pump?

Which way did you install the seal? The lettering on top of the seal should be facing out when installed. Then the washer should go on after the seal

 

I guess I lucked out. I also replaced the snap ring after the washer. But it still leaks. Luckily I bought 2 seals. I guess I’ll re-do the seal.
Are there2 washers, one on each side of the
seal ? I just read and older post mentioning 2 washers. I only saw one and I put that on top of the seal then the snap ring.

 

If i remember correctly there was only 1 washer that went on top of the seal and under the snap ring. Its been a while since i did mine, but i know i ended up having to do mine twice because I did it wrong the first time smh
