Angry locks jammed !

Hi folks , i can't get into my 1993 XJS convertible . i replaced the battery recently and after that the key fobs stopped working . OK no big problem but having locked the car on the key today it now won't unlock at all , I've tried both doors and the locks seem solid . i managed to get a flat strip of metal past the window / seal and apply some pressure forward on the chrome internal latch by the interior door opening lever but no joy, it too seems immobile so now i'm completely stuck , I have'nt yet been able to pull either of the internal door handles as i haven't a suitable piece of wire or something but suspect that they will also be immovable , not sure what's going on but any ideas would be very gratefully received i have tried innumerable times to waggle the key to and fro and have used lots of WD40 in the lock via the keyhole and down into the door. Idont want to apply too much pressure to the key and snap it off in the lock but I have tried pretty forcefully and it won't budge. Any suggestions other than breaking glass ?
Thanks very much

  1. Check to make sure the doors are fully closed by applying a lot of pressure without denting the door skin.

While I usually only pull this card as a last resort - it may be time to call a professional lockmith.

Dont break the glass. Cut the top. But before you do that, can you open the boot and disconnect the battery? Open it with the battery disconnected.
