Default Lost a circlip - not available anymore

Hey guys,

in an awkward moment if idiocy I lost a circlip in the garage. I can't find it and presume I'd only get it, if I get another one... Like when you lose the 10 mm socket and end up buying another one. It magically appears out of nowhere.

Does anyone have just ONE circlip from the throttle connector rods? It sits either on the lower shaft, which pivots in the rubber bush or it is on the arm above that (for example the arm which actuates the tick over/idle switch). About 10-12 mm diameter, very flimsy piece of metal.

Anyone got one they don't need? This is buggering my adjustments up...

Cheers

Damien

No sure as to what yours looks like. I suspect it is a means of securing a rod into an opening. Here, once common in cars. On carb parts and door lock mechanisms. I've robbed one for the other more than once.

SO;

1. Your local hardware store might have something like that/
2. Your local 'breaker", in old USA terrminolgy, "junk yard"
3. Sweep your garage. Use magnet to attract all loose metal bits.

My socket, although replaced, remains missing!!!!

If its the one I remember., we call them "E clips"

They are readily available in assortments, at hardware, auto parts, etc stores, and cheap.
