Missing stone guard on my '95 XJS
Good morning all,
First of all, I want to say “thank you” to everyone that helped me in my two earlier threads. I am new to the Jaguar world and your knowledge is greatly appreciated.
I just recently purchased my ’95 XJS convertible. During the pre-buy inspection, we found an inner fender panel missing. I believe Jaguar refers to it as the “BEC20907 stone guard”. It is located ahead of the left front wheel and is designed to protect the back of the left headlamp, turn signal, etc. I have attached a picture of the right stone guard for reference, and another picture of the area ahead of the left front wheel where the stone guard should be.
There appears to be some kind of add-on siren or speaker in the area of the missing left stone guard. I’ll research that soon and eliminate it if it is not factory.
So to the purpose of this thread. I am looking for a replacement stone guard, the removable access door, attaching hardware and seal that apparently goes between the stone guard and the fender.
If anyone has any useful information that will help me locate one, I will truly appreciate it.
Thanks again,
scottw

scottw,
That's the wrong part number. the number you have quoted is for the baffle plate behind the wheel, not in front of it. The part you need is HHD4311AA. However, I don't know if it comes with the access door which is NLA. IF you need to buy this separately, you'll need to get one from a breaker's yard. You might also find that the air duct from the spoiler for the front brake has fallen off. That's still available as well. You can just buy it for collection from your local Jaguar Dealer (no shipping charge). See here for Jaguar's parts website with the relevant part:
Stoneguard and Fender Baffle - Parts For XJS from (V)179737 to (V)226645 | Jaguar Heritage Parts UK
The siren is the siren for the factory alarm.
Good luck
Paul
