Default to much tubes under the hood...

I'm planning on removing the airco from the engine, it doesn't work anyway!
I took the hood of today to take a good look at the engine but there are too much tubes and parts for me! The only engines I've ever worked on were 2-stroke engines, 1 and 2 cylindre...
can you give me more info on what we see in these pictures? I've marked pieces with numbers in red.

Thx Doug :-)
Complete unit is removed in about 1 hour, except from the last hose that runs from the fuel cooler to the back of the engine.

I knew that the cruise control didn't work either. When removing the airco unit I discovered that a tube that should be attached to the cruise control servo underneath was loose... could that be the reason it didn't work?

Best regards,

Frederik

7 is a puley that runs on the same belt as the airco unit? Can it be removed without interfering any other engine function?
