I just bought back my 1995 XJS Convert 4.0. I sold it 8 years ago. Saw it on auto trader and bought it back from the guy I sold it to. Unfortunately he lost the books. The power top and the mirrors are inop. I don't know where the fuses and relays are. The fuses ivefound are OK. I don't know how to check the relays. I'm not sure where to find the correct ones. Can someone tell me where to find the correct ones ? I'm not sure if fuses or relays are the problems but it's a start.

Welcome! I too found my old car (craigslist for me) and bought it back. Temporary owner never fixed it, didn't even title it.

I hope you find a fix to your issues quickly! I've got a coupe so I'm more help, but I'm sure one of the convertible guys will chime in soon.

I've no specific information. But, I can offer some generic information.

Interlocks. Transmission in Pak or neutral, hand brake set, window position, etc. Two reasons, at least. Interplay with other components, to prevent damage. No raising or lowering of the "hood" while the car is in motion.

Somewhere on this forum or in Cyberspace, there is a an electric schematic for this car. Search time....

My neighbor had the issue with a little Toyota. Top/hood refused to lower. Never solved, car left...

Thanks Carl. I've not had a Jag in awhile. I forgot about setting the parking brake. Thank you for advice.
