It's kind of the old "what comes first, the chicken or the egg" thing. I don't want to build it without a lift, and I don't have anywhere to store the lift until I get it built. UGH. I'll just hope for the alignment of the stars...and that it all falls into place!

Build it and they will come.

Seriously, plan the build around the lift. You need concrete at a certain thickness and PSI rating. As long as you have that, the rest is gravy.

I hadn't looked in a while...and found two used 2-post lifts...both around 2k. Not bad. But I'm not sure I am quite there yet.

And so... it begins.

88k mile LS1 from a 2001 Camaro Z/28.

Now all I gotta do is stick it in there, hook 'er up, and crank it.

Right?

So, should I start a new build thread or just continue on this one?

I'm going to spend some time sorting out this motor and acquiring some parts I need, so it won't be immediate. But I do want to do a test fit next week for the fun of it.

Drill hole 1" dia. at the center of the boot in the panel below the bustle....behind the Lis. plate(approx 3" down). find latch rod and lift or pull down. Now you can open trunk lid. Add the Lutz Stage 1 cooling system mod for street use.....stage2-3 for racing Best, JW

Padre;

That looks exciting. Check out Andrew Weinberg 's Jaguar-Specialties
site. A good guy, not far from here.

He's done a few, including LS to XJS. Sanitary.

In about 2002, a similar collection reposed in my drive. Only it
was an LT1. One generation older. Preliminary prep done there.
Harness, manifolds, mounts, etc. And at one point, a 4.2 Jag and BW aongside.,

Swap about to begin...

Dear now departed wifey pleased when the LT1 found it's home in the car and the 4.2/BW left for a new home. I gave it away. The happy wife, happy life thing.

That gorgeous car and that beautiful Ls make a great match.

Hey Don, yes Andrew is getting to know me well. Already have his kit, he's been helpful with questions, and I hope he's getting accustomed to my peculiarities and weird ideas.
