Default Opinions on Work Manuals

Hello everyone, Well my 1990 XJS Convertible will be delivered in about a week. I have been reading up on the proper work manuals to get. I was wondering what everyone thinks is the best manual to get first. Aside from the Haynes manual.
Thanks
Jim

That would be the free one, which can be downloaded here:
http://www.jag-lovers.org/xj-s/book/XJS_help.pdf

I also strongly recommend getting the JDHT (Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust) CD version of the XJS Parts Catalog and Workshop Manual for your respective year XJS:
Jaguar Heritage. CD ROMS XJ-S 1975 to 1996

The printed versions of those are quite handy as well, though they can be pricey.

Hi JagZilla,

I have downloaded Experience in a Book, by Kirby Palm. Actually that book, which I have read quite a bit of, was partial instrumental in me buying the XJS. It really takes a lot of the mechanical and operational mystery out of this car. In his book he does mention a few publications to acquire. I will look at the one that you suggested.
Thanks for the site. The follow up question was going to be the best sources for these books.. Thanks for providing that one.

This page,
Sean's Jaguar Tech Pages - Jaguar Resources
is loaded with links. Mostly parts suppliers, but a few booksellers are here as well.
