Possible 1990 XJS Purchase
I'm looking at a 1990 XJS Convertible with 52K on it for $7,000 USD. I currently own a '99 XJR but am not exactly familiar with the XJS. Any adivce or specific issues with a 1990 XJS that I should be looking for. Thanks for the help.

if at all possable i would have a dealer inspect it if only for the fact that the seller is asking half of the going price for that model/year i have a 88 and i know the recall issues for mine was
the cruse con. gets clogged and wont disengage and somthing about a defective pressure valve in the fuel tank. i do know that the 90s have a better electrical system,
they quit useing lucas in 89
but on the plus side the xjs v12 is a all around great car

Thanks for the info. I haven't taken a look at it since I was reconsidering purchasing it. Since it is a convertible I'm concerned about where I'm going to keep it. My wife won't let me put her 4-Runner outside and there is no way my XJR is going outside. Heat is not really an issue here in Monterey but, the sun is always out for the most part and the moisture is an issue. So, for now the purchase is on hold or at least until I can get the 4-Runner outside.
