I'm having a '91 XJS convertible inspected in another state and the car looks great, I think I've finally found a good one. One minor glitch is the inspector states there are no power seats. Where are the controls for the power seats? Does anyone have a photo, aren't they the black switches on the sides of the shifter console, down closer to the floor? Maybe those are the seat heater controls? Any clarification would be appreciated!

 

Not that mine is the final word but I don't think they had power seats until a couple years later. My '88 didn't, FWIW.

I think the controls you are referring to are the heated seats and/or power lumbars. The power seat controls were on the door panels right in front of the door handles. I get along just fine with the mechanical ones in my '87.. less to go wrong :-)
