Power Steering hose busted.

Default Power Steering hose busted.

I need some help, my power steering hose busted on my 84 XJS (LHD) Do any of you have any tips to get to the line on the rack? I can't see how to do anyting and I am stuck. Its the high pressure line

oh this is a fun one mate. First work I had to do on my car. You haven't provided much info but it sounded like I can assume you have not dropped the power steering rack which you HAVE to do. btw it will be easier if you pull the wheel (drivers side). There are 3 bolts on the rack 2 on the drivers side, the top one is easier to get to with an extension on the outer side of the car ( why you pull the tire off) and a regular wrench holding the nut from underneath.

Thanks for getting back with me. Yeah I did it this weekend and you are right on. Had to drop the rack but I didn't have to remove the steering colum this time. Was a long job but at least I know it was done right.
