Default pristine donor car

Hello folks back too pick your brains again! A few months ago I was looking at a donor car for the floors in my jag . Well the guy who had that car also had a pristine xjs same year as mine of which I actually drove we went for a bite too eat. Turns out as they were going to deliver the car back too its owner it had a hissy fit and caught fire only singed the relays on the fenders but burnt some wires and insulation under the hood. I've since taken possesion of the car he has the motor from it which is fair I paid nothing for it. So my plan is to swap my
Harness into it and my motor too be done with this rust and rot issue. What should I be looking out for and taking care of?

Just replace pain in the *** stuff while its out is what I am thinking. Replace the bushings and stuff in the cradle with the engine out and do stuff on the engine you wouldn't normally get to, like replacing the seals in all the banjo fittings.
Be very mindful of your engine hoist, that engine is very heavy.

Like I said, i'd just look it over and try to refresh the engine in places that would normally be difficult. Re-cover and route the harness while you are at it

While I have my hands buried in this motor I believe it is the right time too remove the air pump for good. However what goes with all the vacum lines that run too it
