Default Programming remote

Hi guys ... Still trying to program a remote for my 94 xjs ....under the cubby I don't have a yellow/black wire but I do have an unused plug with 4 wires they are all blue with yellow,green,orange and violet stripes . Any ideas ??? Can I make a valet switch from the trunk? What wires?? Vin SAJNX2749RC189962. As always thanks and ur the best

Have you tried disconnecting the battery, (this assumes that the back up battery is l o n g dead) reconnect, at every beep (5) press the remote button once, for two or more remotes press each one once then one of them for how many beeps left.

I don't think that will work on a MY94. It is a slightly different security system with no back-up battery. Disconnecting the battery has no effect on the alarm.

I will have a look under my console tomorrow and maybe take a pic. You can create the same effect at the security module in the trunk. Pin 5 on the connector is the valet input. It should be 5v when the valet is off and 0v when on.

The other thing that springs to mind is that the valet switch was something that was introduced in the MY94 as a rolling change, I'm not sure what VIN but yours is fairly early in the MY so maybe it does not have that capability?
