Default Question on bumper conversion

So Ive got a line on a nice XJS convertible that I will most likely purchase tomorrow. My question and I apologize for not doing a search first but, is there a simple later model bumper conversion for these. While I have had many older Jags and appreciate there originality I really don't like the 88-92 ish bumpers.

TIA,
John

They did make a sport bumper kit for the older cars. Looks a bit like the newer ones. TWR or jaguar sports.

You will need the kit for the US cars though.

hey man,not judging since you maybe found a good deal nearby...but if you like the facelifted cars why didn't you get one instead??

I like both front ends, but am admittedly not wild about the rear of the facelift models.

Malc4d is right on, Jaguarsport or Twr bumpers will be a direct fit. I'm not sure about the later 94-96 bumpers as I think that the fixing arrangement may have changed?

There are also a number of aftermarket conversion specialists like Arden or KWE that have all kinds of body kits.

Just be ready for sticker shock!!

You answered your own question in your first line. Its a great deal on a nice car that needs to be painted and I own a bodyshop. Its your classic S convertible with a 12 and pretty much going to be a weekend driver. Living in AZ I tend to keep the top down more any most and I sold my XKR convert a couple years ago and haven't found a late model XK to buy yet so this will fill the void for now. Plus it never hurts to own a couple Jaguars. Hard to see but the picture under my username is of when I had my 71 XJ6, 76 XJ6C and 2000 XJ8. Miss those days to say the least.

I installed XJR-s bumpers on mine, a lot of work was needed as the fiberglass shells I bought did not fit.
