Any suggestions on a suitable track/street pad for the XJS?

I run HAWK pads all around, carbon metallic, i also changed the front calipers to Wilwood aluminum, saved unsprung weight by 12lbs each!

just my setup, might not be for everyone! but it sure h%ll stops, without pushin the pedal thru the floor.

Default brake pads

I used Hawk blues years ago on a track car and found they really ate into the rotors. The dust would score the wheels if it got wet.

Which compound are you using?

I've seen some comments about the AP brakes. I'm not sure about the need for more brakes but I like the idea of dropping the weight. What model are you using?

HEY gimme a break, was back in 1995, cant remember the pad compound, and i think calipers they were called WILWOOD ULTRA LITES, they were as i remb. 5lbs each, when the cast iron 1978 Jags were 14lbs. i also used an aluminm MC, cant belive Jag used so much cast iron stuff.

i also drilled and chamfered the rotrors, NO problems but i dont track it.

my car weighs(on an actual calibrated scale) 3360lbs,1/2 tank fuel , no driver.

course today everything as changed
