Default radiator hose rerouting

Should this work?

I'm installing Tefba filters. Not a big deal on the left side, but on the right side I want to keep the filter as high as I can so I don't have to drain any more coolant than necessary to check them.

One thing I'm experimenting with is pointing the RH thermostat housing outlet up instead of leaving it in the intended horizontal position. This looks like it will let me use my existing hoses.

I've mocked this up in the attached photos. Any reason that it shouldn't work ok in this configuration?

Thanks,

John

there isn't really anything on the passenger's side of the car anyway, shouldn't be in the way of anything. Actually it is probably pretty convenient. In addition to not spilling fluid you will probably have a new high point to bleed the coolant from.

After you remove the dorky aluminum foil from that wire you will be all set i think.

That dorky aluminum is the heat shield for the temp probe I've put in all 4 cooling manifolds (and yes I do agree that it does look dorky). Eventually I find some more visually pleasing way to protect those, but with the exhaust headers now Jet Hot coated, I may not need to protect them at all.

Hopefully if I get the Tefba's both at the right height I won't have to drain any coolant at all to inspect them. It'll be fun to try anyway...

Thanks!

John
